Daruma Doll wooden pin
Daruma Doll wooden pin
Out of stock
This little Daruma wishing doll pin is made from recycled maple veneer wood. Illustrated with my own Batty Blossoms interpretation of a Daruma doll.
What is a Daruma?
A Daruma is a Japanese wishing doll. They are traditionally made from paper and when you purchase them, their eyes are white with no pupils. You paint on the pupil of one eye when you make a wish, and fill in the other one when your wish comes true. Then at the end of the year, it's time to burn the doll at a special ceremony (hence being made of paper) and buy a new one!
The traditional Daruma notoriously look quite stern, but this little cutie is a happy doll because his wish has come true!
Pins have a peach pink rubber clasp and come attached to a backing presentation card with the Batty Blossoms website address printed below.
A perfect little wearable lucky charm for anyone who loves Japan, travel or dolls.
